Jeans Shopping Fear Cured With Monki

Hey there,

Long time no see! Hope you’re all doing well.

Today I’ve got two words for you that always strike fear into me. Jeans shopping.

Whenever I need new jeans I always get the dread, Will they fit me? Will they flatter me? The answer is usually no and I end up walking out of the shop, wanting to cry and head straight to the nearest shop for chocolate.

Have no more jeans shopping fear babes, as I bring to you the holy grail of jeans from Monki. I’m sharing 3 different pairs from them that I love, feel fab in and they fit well!

First up we have a classic pair of blue jeans called ‘Taiki’.
These are a vintage mom shape with a straight leg in a mid blue wash and super high waisted. This is a pair you can chuck on and feel great in whatever your mood.

I love the fit of these, a little big on the waist but I always have that problem with jeans, nothing a belt won’t fix! Here I have styled then with a oversized cord shirt and loafers for a 90s vibe.

Taiki Blue Jeans / Cord Shirt / Tiger Loafers

Next up we have ‘Yoko’ a super high waisted light wash jean with flared legs.
I absolutely adore this pair, they totally remind me of Avril Lavigne Sk8r boi vibes and I am all about that. Here I have styled them with a pair of Dr Martens, leather blazer and a floral polo neck.

I feel totally badass in these and I love how they’re slightly longer on the leg so they flare over your shoes. Team them with a cute top and sandals in the spring for a totally different look!

Yoko Light Blue Jeans

Last up we have ‘Taiki’ in a white wash. These are the same style as the blue pair but are a cropped leg. I love a white jean, I love wearing them all year round and think they work with pretty much anything! Although I usually end up spilling something down them (I took these photos before eating just incase!)

Here I have teamed them with lilac matching hairclips, a vintage tshirt, ankle boots and that purple cord shirt worn open.
